BANNERS AT DAWN

A little peace.
Then, a little courage.

Choose your military specialty. Everyone can build all three unit types; your chosen type receives 10% extra health.

Both sides start with five villagers and equal resources. Five minutes of peace, then either side may attack. Limit: 100 combined workers and troops per side, including queues. Villagers are protected in Stage 3A. Destroy the opposing Town Center to win.

Easy runs the enemy economy at 60%; Intermediate at 80%; Regular at 100%. Combat strength and the five-minute treaty are equal. Choose a mode for each new match.

This military match has its own save. Your peaceful village is untouched.

YOUR FIRST CAMPAIGN

From a few hands
to a small army.

  1. Select workers and assign food, wood, stone or gold. New villagers cost 70 food.
  2. Choose Set villager rally, then click open ground or a resource. Future villagers go there automatically.
  3. Select one worker. Choose a military building, then click a green placement outline on the map. Construction takes 35 seconds after arrival.
  4. Click a finished building (or its name under Buildings & troops) to recruit. Each building has its own queue.
  5. After peace expires, select your troops and choose Attack Alderbrook. They march to the east road, travel for 20 seconds, then enter the other map.
  6. Watch either town. Your troops fight automatically; click ground to reposition them. Defend / return home recalls selected troops. Troops already on the road finish their journey before accepting orders.

Soldiers counter cavalry; cavalry counter archers; archers counter soldiers. Counter attacks do 1.75× damage before armor. Each Town Center fires defensive arrows.

A SMALL STRATEGY EXPERIMENT

Practice makes
a different commander.

Military training varies 12 strategy parameters: resource priorities, army composition, responses to enemy units, worker growth and attack size. Construction routines, pathfinding and combat rules are programmed. This is a limited evolutionary learner, not a general RTS intelligence.

Practice runs simulated matches in a background worker. The opponent in your current match stays fixed. Wins against three narrow drill opponents do not establish skill against people. Draws and timeouts are reported, not counted as wins.
