About

We help turn an idea into a working web application quickly enough to test it, learn from it, and decide the next step with real information.

Build it. Host it. Learn from it.

Who we are

code-and-host.com LLC builds working web apps fast and hosts them on AWS. You’re usually talking with the person doing the work — not a chain of account managers.

The goal is simple: get a useful version online so you can learn from real use before you spend a large budget.

Being upfront

I’m in my sixties, working from home, and I have dementia. I still know how to put systems together — and with AI, I can move from a rough idea to something working faster than I could alone.

I’m not going to pretend we’re a big agency or that every build is “prime time” on day one. What I will say: we can get something real online that was only a thought a week ago — and I’ll be straight with you about what it can and can’t do.

How we work

We use Bootstrap on the front end and VB.NET on the back end because those tools let us move quickly and produce something solid. If a later team will take the project further with C# and React, we can plan for that from the start.

We also host what we build on AWS. That means the same people who understand the application can get it online and keep it running.

What that means in practice

  • You talk with the people doing the work
  • The first goal is a working version, not a perfect specification
  • Reusable capabilities shorten the path from idea to live application
  • Hosting is part of the same relationship, not a separate vendor surprise

A technology partner, not just a coder

Automate repetitive work

Let technology handle routine tasks, notifications, and repeated data entry so people can focus on the work that matters.

Improve communication

Help customers get answers faster through better phone, email, and on-site tools.

Connect systems

Link websites, databases, AI, and outside services so information moves automatically instead of being typed twice.
